Love Island twins abandon The Block - to go clubbing
The other Block contestants can’t believe what they’re seeing when Love Island twins Luke and Josh break the show’s “rule number one”.
If former Love Island contestants Josh and Luke Packham wanted to dampen speculation about their Block credentials, they’re going the wrong way about it.
In Wednesday’s episode of the reno show, the reality TV twins were shown abandoning the Block worksite midway through their first room reveal – to go out clubbing.
It was a Friday night – two days until room reveal – and with their guest room still unfinished, the pair decided to “go for a little boogie”.
“We had pretty much finished the room, so we thought to ourselves, why not go have a few drinks,” Luke shrugged.

While not against the rules, the decision to leave The Block to hit the town raised eyebrows from their fellow contestants – usually, couples are seen marking an end of week break with a few drinks on-site. Indeed, a few of the other contestants were seen having an impromptu Friday night dance party, singing into their paint rollers as they worked through the evening.
All-star contestants Mark and Georgia were even shown following the pair out onto the street, trying to talk some sense into them.
“Where are you going? Is your room finished yet?” Mark asked the twins.

“What is going on here?” asked a disbelieving Georgia.
Speaking to camera, Georgia mocked what she believed was a big mistake on the brothers’ part.
“It’s a Friday night, two nights before reveal – if Chapel Street’s calling, you’ve just got to go? First timers – you never leave the site. Rule number one!”
In fact, the boys had already broken The Block’s ‘rule number one’ in the very first episode, when they enlisted one of their tradies to help with painting a room (Block rules stipulate only contestants can handle painting). And when one of their fellow contestants politely reminded them of the rule, a tense confrontation followed in which they accused her of being a “dibber dobber”.
On Sunday night’s episode, we’ll see the fallout from Josh and Luke’s Friday night excursion, as the twins don’t appear to have come home by the next morning.
“This has never happened,” says a clearly dumbfounded foreman Keith.
