I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here 2021: Which celebs will star on the show?

Channel 10 has released more clues surrounding who will be going into the Aussie outback for I’m A Celebrity 2021.

First I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! promo

Channel 10 has begun teasing I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! fans with frustratingly cryptic clues to keep us guessing until January 3.

Following on from the season’s musical promo which dropped earlier this month, more clues have been dropped.

Here’s what we know:

A STAR OF THE STREET

The clue: “Run, don’t walk, to this next Celeb clue! How will this Star Of The Street deal with getting grotty in the Aussie jungle?”

“She’s going to need all the soap she can get in there.”

Ok we feel like this is clearly pointing to somebody from Neighbours with the ‘street’ and ‘soap’ hints. Clearly they mean Ramsay Street, and Neighbours is one of Australia’s biggest soap operas.

BLONDE BOMBSHELL

The clue: “A blonde bombshell is heading into the jungle. She loves playing the villain... but to many she’s become a hero.”

There is some strong evidence to suggest that this is Abbie Chatfield, the runner-up of Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor.

Abbie was heavily edited to be the ‘villain’ on the show, and has on more than one occasion spoken about that word. In particular when she compared her edit to Timm Hanly’s on Angie Kent’s season, who acted just as she did but was portrayed as very sweet.

GREAT SINGER

The clue: “He’s an idol to many, who has sung on the world stage, but does this Great Singer have the X factor to get him through the Aussie jungle?”

OK, this clue seems obvious - a little too obvious. Guy Sebastian won Australian Idol, judged on The X Factor, and sung on the “world stage” competing in both Eurovision and World Idol. Heck, the clue even comes with an oddly capitalised “Great Singer” - the same initials as “Guy Sebastian.”

If this is all too obvious, other Idol / X Factor alumni like Isaiah Firebrace or Rob Mills could both be good guesses too.

OPINIONATED TWOSOME

The official clue reads: “Not content with being separated, this duo are never seen too far apart from one another. They’re the yin to each other’s yang, the salt to their pepper, the meat pie to their tomato sauce. That got you thinking? Let’s give you a hint: This opinionated twosome is used to dishing it out... but now the shoe is on the other foot.”

Hmm... we put “pair” plus “network 10” together and our first thought was Bach’s sister duo, Becky and Elly Miles. But those girls aren’t exactly known for being opinionated. You know who is? The cast of Gogglebox... particularly posh art lovers Mick and Di.

BROWNLOW MEDAL WINNER

The official clue: “This Brownlow medal winner may have what it takes to ace it on the footy field but will they make their mark on their new Aussie jungle home? Will they be crowned King of the Jungle or bomb out entirely.” Our guesses: Chris Judd? Shane Crawford? Heaven forbid - Ben Cousins?

BIG TV STAR

Official clue: “With one of the biggest names in Aussie TV heading into the jungle, we know you’re searching your small screen knowledge to guess who it could be. Here’s a hint: why would they be going into the jungle if they’re scared of monsters?” Hmm - this is a tricky one, but one savvy guesser had this to say under the I’m A Celeb Instagram account: “Grant Denyer - in 2008 he got injured at a monster truck event!” That’s a pretty good guess to us.

FUNNY LADY

The official clue: “A very funny lady is heading into the Aussie jungle. This stand-up is used to things heating up.” The last part of that clue has many on social media guessing it’s Celeste Barber - both because of her “hot husband” and her incredible efforts for bushfire relief.

RENOWNED CHEF

The official clue reads: “Used to stirring up heat in the kitchen, will this renowned chef have what it takes to make the cut to become the second kitchen maestro to claim the King or Queen crown? They may think that because we’re staying home this year it’ll be a piece of cake but will eating critters get the batter of them?”

Could it be Manu as many fans have speculated in the Instagram comments? Or perhaps – closer to home on the network – a former MasterChef contestant … or judge?

We know it’s not controversial chef Pete Evans, who, after having been at the centre of show rumours for weeks, was reportedly dropped from the cast for sharing a cartoon on social media that included a neo-Nazi symbol.

TV Blackbox reported this month that Evans and producers were in crisis talks at the location after social media erupted over his post, with producers forcing him to publicly apologise.

It led to Channel 10 trending on Twitter, despite the line-up for the show not being officially announced, with viewers pleading with the network not to give the controversial chef a further public airing.

Channel 10 did not comment on the issue.

Rumours about Evan’s participation in the show swirled after the first promo dropped.

Addressing it on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa, host Julia Morris said hoped it was true.

“Surely at a minimum there’s been a conversation,” she said.

“I saw the rumours in the paper and I said please let that be true because that might actually make my year!”

TRUE DIVA

The second clue from Ten is as follows: “And with a true diva also set to head into our Aussie jungle, will they become the best of campmate friends or will our diva create friction to cause fire?”

While the hint hasn’t hit the show’s social media channels yet, we’re pretty smug with our guess of former Australian Idol judge Marcia Hines, 67, who had a greatest hits album and memoir titled Diva.

Next year’s season – filmed at a site near Murwillumbah in NSW – promises to be a wild one if the promo is anything to go by.

Belting out an original song dressed as a range of Australian icons, the clip opens to hosts Dr Chris as Crocodile Dundee and Julia Morris as Kylie Minogue, who tell us things are going to be a little different this year as the show is “staying home” and filming in Australia amid the pandemic.

While we were expecting a group of all-Aussie stars this year given travel restrictions, Julia, fresh from her stint as the Kitten on The Masked Singer, suggests in the promo that we may still see an international celeb or two.

“Kind of famous people from here and abroad have signed up for January 3rd,” she sings.

Interesting …

Stay tuned as more clues drop over the coming weeks.
