I’m a Celeb: Vicky Pattison cries when talking about having sex on TV
VICKY Pattison has opened up about having sex on camera during a previous reality TV show, describing it as “one of the only regrets I’ve ever had”.
VICKY Pattison broke down on I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! when she was quizzed about having sex on a British reality TV show.
As part of his Jungle Radio interview series, Steve Price sat down with the 30-year-old who appeared on Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2014.
The 2GB radio host had clearly done his research and grilled Pattison about previous comments she’s made in the media about how disappointed she was in herself that she had sex on camera on the British reality show.
“Um, I hated myself on Geordie Shore,” Pattison told Price as she was interviewed in front of the other camp mates.
She started to cry and said: “I hated the person that I ended up becoming and I have no one to blame but myself, and I don’t try and put blame on anybody else”.
Explaining what circumstances led to her getting it on in front of the cameras, Pattison said: “You are under an awful lot of pressure to act a certain way, to constantly outdo the outrageousness that’s happening around you.
“Say you had five jaeger bombs and kissed someone you shouldn’t have on a Tuesday in Series 1, by Series 2 on Wednesday, you’re going to be expected to have 10 jaeger bombs, have sex with someone and have a huge argument and trash the house. It’s an escalation.”
Pattison’s behaviour on the British reality show almost completely ruined her relationship with her mum who was disgusted with her behaviour.
“My mum, she never really forgave us I don’t think,” Pattison told Price. “She was very disappointed, quite rightly.
“I have no one to blame for that by myself and it’s probably one of the only regrets I’ve ever had.”
“Have you talked to her about it?” Price asked Pattison, who had tears streaming down her face.
“In the last couple of years, me and my mum have managed to rectify the gulf that Geordie Shore created between our relationship,” the reality star said.
“I’ve grown up, I’ve matured. I’ve essentially become someone that I don’t mind looking at in the mirror. I quite like who I am growing into, and I think my mum does too.”
Pattison, who won the British version of I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! in 2015, entered the jungle in the Aussie version of the show on day 17 with fellow intruder, Paul Burrell.
On last night’s episode she finished in the bottom three with the Oldfields but David received the fewest votes to save and he was booted from the show.
I’m a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight on Channel 10 at 7.30pm
