I’m A Celeb stars Candice Warner and Skye Wheatley in fiery argument over lipstick
Candice Warner and influencer Skye Wheatley got into a fiery argument on Wednesday’s I’m A Celebrity, leaving fellow camp mates in shock.
Candice Warner and influencer Skye Wheatley got into a heated feud on Wednesday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, with retired ironwoman Warner dubbing the Instagram star “selfish”.
In a confrontation that left fellow camp mates speechless, the wife of Australian cricketer David Warner exposed Wheatley for failing to hand over her contraband with the rest of the cast when filming began.
Wheatley, who shot to fame on the 2014 season of Big Brother, was concealing a lipstick in her bag when the celebs were asked to give up products they snuck into the South African jungle, before later giving it up after Warner called her out.
“How’s Candice throwing me under the bus. I wouldn’t have thrown you under the bus,” Wheatley said.
“Why were you selfish and keeping it when we all had to give ours in? It’s lip gloss, get over it,” Warner shot back.
Wheatley argued the lipgloss “wasn’t the point”, as the duo continued to trade barbs before AFL legend Peter Daicos intervened.
“Come on ladies, enough,” Daicos urged.
Wheatley then broke down in tears over the incident before apologising to Warner.
“I’m not crying over the lipgloss. I just don’t like confrontation. I’m sorry Candice, I just felt hurt in the moment,” she said.
“Well, I get hurt when someone says I’m throwing them under the bus when this is a team thing,” Warner responded. “You said I threw you under the bus when I didn’t.”
Former Hollywood child star Frankie Muniz was in disbelief watching the confrontation unfold, before later giving his take on the incident in the toktokkie – where celebs can chat privately to producers.
“I see both sides. I don’t want to say I’m in the middle, because I usually am,” Muniz said.
“I was shocked how heated it got between the two of them. On day three,” he laughed.
Later in the episode, the pair apologised to one another for how things escalated.
Speaking to news.com.au before she headed into the jungle, mother-of-three Warner said she traditionally clashed with people who weren’t “supportive of one another”.
“I like real people, authentic people, people who just give it a crack,” Warner said.
“I think if there’s someone out there that’s trying to cause trouble or hurting other people’s feelings, then they will be people that I’ll probably definitely stay away from, and could have some sort of conflict with.
“For me, it’s about uplifting people, encouraging people, because we’re all here for different reasons. We’re all here to overcome certain fears or we’re all here because we’re at different places in our careers. So look, if we’re here, let’s give it a crack.”
I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! continues Thursday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
