Goggleboxers Angie and Evie reveal surprise jungle fear

While most stars enter I’m A Celebrity dreading the tucker trials, Gogglebox Australia’s Angie and Evie have a very different phobia — and for good reason.

While most stars dread I’m A Celebrity’s tucker trials, Gogglebox Australia’s Angie Kent and Evie Jones will be entering the jungle with a very unique type of phobia.

The two best friends are going from armchair critics to reality TV fodder when they appear on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! this Sunday, a move they admit feels “weird” and scares them “s**tless”.

“I think karma is coming to bite me in the bum! I have laughed at these people for so long and judged them and gone, ‘oh that’s easy’ and now it’s all coming around on me,” Evie told news.com.au.

“I’m going to be the one that’s laughed at and judged, and people will be yelling at me ‘you can do it, it’s easy,’ because everything is easy from the comfort of your couch.”

Angie, who admits to being “scared s**tless” of entering the jungle, said she dreaded the thought of audiences criticising her I’m A Celebrity appearance.

But Angie thinks her fellow Goggleboxers will be less brutal than previous seasons because they know her and Evie.

“I think they will be so supportive of the Goggleboxers, so supportive because we are like family,” she said.

“But other people, I mean, they’ve loved seeing snippets of Evie and I, but they haven’t seen us outside our comfort zone. They haven’t seen us angry, they haven’t seen us be overly sad so we could get a rude shock and come out and not as many people loved us as they did on Gogglebox.

Also a worry is whether Gogglebox fans will like seeing another side to Angie and Evie after years of watching them onscreen while at their most comfortable — sitting on their couch watching TV.

“Definitely it’s weird … I hope that everyone embraces us being on a reality TV show of this type and enjoys us as much as they have enjoyed us on Gogglebox,” Evie said.

“Because we’ve got such a lovely following and I don’t want to disappoint anyone.”

With Angie and Evie the only celebrities announced so far, here’s all the other clues about what stars will be entering the jungle.
