Abbie Chatfield and Ash Williams secretly hooked up on I’m A Celebrity
After saying she would never pursue love on television again, Abbie Chatfield engaged in a romance during I’m A Celebrity, which continued after filming.
Turns out the rumours about there being a fling on I’m A Celebrity are true, and it was between Abbie Chatfield and Ash Williams.
Comedian Ed Kavalee, who is a star on Channel 10, confirmed the romance while chatting on Hit Hobart’s Jimmy and Nathon Tuesday.
The Have You Been Paying Attention? star, 41, admitted to the couple while chatting about Ash’s side gig of selling feet photos online.
“He hooked with Abbie Chatfield in the jungle. He’s Australia’s loosest person. He’s got the smell of lawsuits following him,” Kavalee admitted.
Rumours about a couple hooking up on the show have been swirling online for weeks, with Abbie and Ash becoming “quite the item - so much so that things continued [between] them after the cameras stopped rolling,” asTV Blackboxreports.

Network Ten’s head of entertainment and factual programs Stephen Tate told news.com.au: “I can tell you there is a romance but I can’t give you any more detail,” he said.
During Sunday’s premiere episode, Abbie explained that she didn’t want to get involved in any flings while on the show.
“I’m not getting involved in love on TV ever again,” she said.
Hilariously, Abbie and Ash had an awkward encounter when they first met on the show.
Williams, a comedian, told Chatfield that he had ignored a direct message he had sent her on Instagram when she had just come off The Bachelor.
“Yeah, yeah. I DM’d you a while ago,” he said.
A shocked Abbie responded: “Oh... was it anything nefarious? I often get pictures when I get DM’d.”
“I think you saw it. It said ‘seen’. But it’s okay,” Ash said. “No, you were busy. You just got off The Bachelor. It’s all good.”

Mr Tate’s admission about a couple forming on the show came as he explained to news.com.au how the evictions will be decided this year.
He explained, “We have devised a very funny, very fair system for deciding who will do the trials and the challenges. It may or may not involve a mythical wombat called ‘Warren the Wombat of Winternet Wisdom’.”
News.com.au understands that for every elimination episode, the celebrities compete in two challenges. The first one is an all in (featuring all the celebrities in camp) which whittles them down to a bottom three. The bottom three then compete in a second challenge and whoever comes in third place gets the boot.
That system will continue until there are just a few celebrities remaining in camp.
“The most important thing to realise is that Australia will decide the winner,” Mr Tate told news.com.au. “The ending will be live.”
So far 10 celebrities have been unveiled on I’m A Celeb: Travis Varcoe, Ash Williams, Grant Denyer, Jack Vidgen, Paulini, Jess Eva, Mel Buttle, Toni Pearen, Abbie Chatfield and Dipper.
Another celebrity is set to enter the camp on Tuesday night.
