TURNS out Keira Maguire had a cunning plan for shower time on I’m A Celeb that meant she avoided being shown on screens in next to nothing.

NEWLY-evicted I’m A Celeb campmate Keira Maguire has revealed her cunning plan to make sure she wasn’t shown on screen showering during her time on the show.

Celebs bathe in a ‘jungle shower’ on the program, with most choosing to leave at least one item of clothing on because the relatively open-air shower can be seen by cameras and crew.

In turn, snippets of this shower footage makes it onto the show — with ample camera time paid to model Kris Smith’s abs, for instance.

But Maguire didn’t want her shower routine beamed into living rooms across Australia, so made a bold choice, as she told Kyle and Jackie O this morning.

She simply showered naked.

“The reason I showered nude is because I did see them showing other women showering with their undies on. I’m like, ‘Nup, not having it’,” she told them.

“It’s a ploy! If you shower naked, you KNOW you’re not going to get on [TV], but if you’re in your undies, you actually might show it,” said Jackie O.

But what about the multitude of crew members watching you in the buff, asked Kyle.

“I don’t mind, what are they going to do?” said Keira.

Maguire should count herself lucky she doesn’t appear on an overseas version of the show: The German Ich Bin Ein Star — Holt Mich Hier Raus! airs in January each year, and it’s a damn sight racier than the Aussie version.

Ample screen time is spent lingering on the ample bosom of the various German B-listers as they clean up in the outdoor jungle shower. Very Big Brother Uncut.

After leaving the show during last night’s surprise elimination, Maguire had a few parting shots for the campmate she gelled with the least: broadcaster Steve Price.

“Steve has short man syndrome, where he is just really angry all the time,” she told News Corp. “He just had something against me from the day I walked in there. I wouldn’t put up with it and he didn’t like that I stood up for myself.

I’m A Celebrity continues 7pm Sunday on Ten.
