Amazing Race Australia contestant flails off a cliff in abseiling fail
The Amazing Race contestant Wayne sends himself into a panic when he messes up his equipment during an abseiling challenge.
The Amazing Race Australia is full of high-intensity moments that you don’t want to miss.
In Sunday night’s upcoming episode, viewers will bear witness to contestant Wayne’s huge panic when he flails off a cliff during an abseiling challenge.
A very panicked Wayne has difficulty with his carabiner, which causes him to slip and miss the board.
He then needs to lift his whole body up in order to retrieve his image on the board.
It’s not an easy feat, especially when you’re dangling off a huge cliff.
The Amazing Race Australia has been filled with moments that have had hearts racing this season.
Last week, the contestants faced a hot-air balloon crash due to extremely windy conditions.
Noticing how fast the hot air balloon was moving over the targets, contestants realised that the challenge was going to be a lot harder than they initially expected.
“It’s so windy,” said Violeta.
She said to the camera, “I was starting to get worried that we were going to be going too fast and we were going to miss the targets.”
It was not long before the pilot spoke into his radio, reporting that they weren’t slowing down anytime soon.
“It’s really windy, our hot air balloons are moving too fast,” said Dolor, one half of NSW “power couple” with Holly.
“All right guys, just be ready to tuck everything away,” said the pilot, preparing them for an unexpected landing.
One team member explained, “The wind was causing the hot air balloons to move up in the air and it threw everything off course.”
Bracing for impact, the pilot told them, “Hold onto the handle and face back towards the other balloon.”
The contestants tried to ensure the hot air balloon didn’t crash and flip over, but they were unsuccessful and their balloon hit a tree at high speed.
Scary, but makes for great television!
