Three weeks after it was announced that the much-maligned duo wouldn’t be returning to the airwaves for 2017 following a year of consistently poor ratings, a Confidential spy spotted a bus driving through Mosman with the pair emblazoned on the side, larger than life.

“Rove and Sam. 6-9,” read the ad, despite the fact the pair have been dumped from prime time to a national evenings show kicking off Monday.

Meanwhile, replacements Em Rusciano and Harley Breen have received mixed reviews for their first few days on air.

Social media has run the gamut from rave reviews to pleas for them to be sacked like their predecessors.

Their call-out on day one seemed to fall on deaf ears, with their video producer ringing in to give results of a Twitter poll after just one call from the public.
