Richard Reid’s revealing interview with Kyle and Jackie O
THE Today Show gossip guru shocked everyone by suddenly quitting the show in January. Now he’s revealed where he’s off to next.
GOSSIP guru Richard Reid has all but confirmed he’ll be appearing on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
The popular TV personality announced on January 10 that he was quitting Channel 9’s Today Show after seven years, but he promised his fans that “2015 will be full of surprises”.
And he wasn’t lying.
His appearance on Kiis FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show this morning was certainly surprising as he revealed what plastic surgery procedures he’s had, if he’s ever seen Richard Wilkins naked and if he’s joining the cast of the upcoming Channel 10 reality show.
“Let me put it this way,” he said when asked about I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! which kicks off on February 1, “I have my bags packed”.
“I’ve had a bunch of shots for god knows what kind of diseases. I’ve been to a bunch of places to get my VISA stamped but I can only say — it’s none of your business!”
Although he was a little coy about the TV show, he was refreshingly honest when asked by the radio duo if he’s had any cosmetic surgery.
“When I was in my 20s I had a nose job,” said Reid.
“A couple of years ago I had the fat underneath my eyes sucked out because I was doing mornings for like 20 years even before I did The Today Show and I looked like a tired old hag, and I was tired of that.”
Speaking of the Today Show, Reid raved on-air about his former showbiz sidekick, Richard Wilkins. And just in case you really wanted to know, yes, he’s seen Dickie’s ... well ... you know what.
“Our dressing rooms were next to each other forever and I saw a flash of it one day,” he admitted.
“It’s a monster!”
Other highlights from the interview with Kyle and Jackie O included Reid revealing that he’d “messed around” with a “pretty famous Italian clothing designer” back in his 20s (Valentino) and that he prefers Lisa Wilkinson over Karl Stefanovic (“she’s divine”).
