Kyle Sandilands slams Scott Morrison for refusing to appear on his radio show
Kyle Sandilands unleashed on Scott Morrison after the Prime Minister refused to appear on his radio show despite a $30,000 charity offer.
Kyle Sandilands has given the Prime Minister a spray for refusing to appear on his KIIS FM breakfast show.
On Monday morning’s show, Sandilands announced on air that he’d donate $30,000 to charity if Scott Morrison called into the KIIS FM breakfast show before 8.30am this morning.
“This guy’s a scaredy cat,” Sandilands said on Monday. “Why won’t you come on here?”
Sandilands has made no secret of the fact he’s not a fan of Morrison and on Monday’s show he aired a montage of some of the not-so-nice things he has said about the PM in the past which included calling him a “gronk”, “a slob”, “a pussy”, “white and wobbly”, “a loser”, “a clown”, “pathetic” and a “gutless little toad”.
Sandilands said his radio show’s producers have invited Morrison to appear on the show on several occasions in past but the Prime Minister has never accepted.
He was hoping the $30,000 charity donation might change that.
“He hates us that much that I’m so confident he won’t ring up,” Sandilands said at the start of this morning’s show when Morrison still had two hours to call in.
“They’re so scared. These people want to run the country. They want to protect us from everyone but they’re scared of us. Please”.
After the 8.30am deadline this morning, Sandilands announced on air that Morrison had not called into the show.
“They wouldn’t even answer our calls,” Sandilands said about the Prime Minister’s media minders. “They treated us like lepers, like we weren’t worth it.”
Scott Morrison might have given KIIS FM a wide berth this morning but he was happy to chat to other media outlets including Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa, Channel 7’s Sunrise and ABC News Breakfast.
News.com.au reached out to the Prime Minister’s office for comment but did not hear back.
