Kyle Sandilands launches lengthy rant against female trans athletes

The shock jock went on a lengthy rant against transgender female athletes, saying that pro-trans people are “dismissing what an actual woman is”.

Radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands has launched into a tirade against transgender women who compete in women’s sports.

Speaking on KIIS FM on Monday morning, what began as a rant against “woke culture” divulged into Kyle saying that female transgender athletes shouldn’t be allowed to compete in women-only sports.

“What I don’t want is a trans athlete that’s injured in a wheelchair to tell me what I can and can’t say,” he initially said, before a producer began defending trans rights.

“I feel, and this is only my personal opinion and I’m happy to have my mind changed,” Kyle continued.

“If you’re born a female, you’re allowed to swim against other females. If you’re a 6ft man with (audio beeped) in women’s bathers, that’s not going to cut it.”

When told by a producer that he was being “really offensive to trans women,” Kyle continued on his rampage.

“It’s offensive to women who wants to compete against other women, that a bloke is allowed to beat them.”

“But by saying bloke, you’re just dismissing what a trans women is,” said his producer.

“Well you’re dismissing what an actual woman is,” Kyle responded, animatedly.

Interjecting, co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said: “I get both sides here,” before Kyle retorted and jokingly added: “Why because you’re a chick with a d*ck?”

Continuing, Jackie hinted that unlike “the women in the actual field, who that person might be competing against,” people who aren’t directly affected by the issue shouldn’t be entitled to strong opinions on the topic.

Again, Kyle countered her claim.

“So we should just say, screw those chicks who are trying to win the medal.”

The tense exchange ended when it was announced that Prime Minister Scott Morrison had dialled into the radio station, where he spoke about his campaign policies and the newly released super for house plan for first home buyers.

The issue of trans athletes has become a prominent talking point in the latest election after Liberal candidate Katherine Deves’ views on transgenderism were uncovered. Historic tweets from Scott Morrison’s ‘captain’s pick’ for the seat of Warringah revealed she had described trans children as “surgically mutilated and sterilised”. Ms Deves has also been outspoken that gender identity should not be taught in schools.

In February, Liberal senator Claire Chandler also attempted to introduce a ‘save women’s sport’ bill which would amend the Sex Discrimination Act to rule that not letting people play in single-sex sports on the basis of biological sex is not discriminatory.
