Project host Sarah Harris baffles co-stars with ‘gross’ confession
Sarah Harris left some of her fellow Channel 10 pannelists stunned with a weird confession on Wednesday’s show.
The Project star Sarah Harris left some of her fellow hosts baffled with a bizarre confession about her parenting on Wednesday night’s show.
The panel invited Aussie physiotherapist Ben Foster onto the show after he hit headlines for saving his dog’s eyesight by sucking a leech off his beloved pooch Alma’s eyeball.
Foster was on a hike with his doggo when the bizarre incident occurred and his instincts took over.
“I looked down and she had a big leech hanging out of her eye, under her eyelid. I was pretty amazed to be honest. I was like, ‘What’s going on there?’” he told the panel.
“And then, yeah, like spontaneously I took my gloves off and trying to help her, trying to prise it out. It was slippery. Her eye was way too slippery. Spontaneously, I put my mouth over her eye and sucked it out.”
Ben Foster is probably the most dedicated dog owner in Australia after he sucked a leech off the eyeball of his Kelpie, Alma.

Harris, who shares two children with her ex-husband Tom Ward - sons Paul, six, and Harry, four - then turned the conversation towards herself.
“I have done some gross things as a mum as well,” she said.
“You know, if your baby has like a runny nose and the consistency is kind of like a leech,” she explained before turning to see her co-star, Liz Ellis, appearing to realise where the story was heading.
“Why are you looking at me like that Liz?” said Harris.
“Finish the story, what did you do?” encouraged Ellis.
Harris then finished her confession, telling her stunned co-stars: “… I sucked the snot out of it, all right!”
Her co-star, Sam Taunton, then questioned: “Is that normal?” which prompted guest Foster to agree with Harris, adding: “My partner actually does that with our daughter as well.”
“I’ve been vindicated!” said Harris.
“This whole thing is gross,” said a still-not-impressed Ellis. “I want to put on record I would never suck a leech out of my kid’s eye or the snot out of my baby’s nose.”
Last year Harris opened up about her “gut-wrenching” divorce from her ex-husband.
“I don’t think anyone gets married to separate. It was gut-wrenching. But what I’m really proud of is how Tom and I have been able to work together for the kids,” she told Stellar.
“It will probably look a bit different, but we’re always going to be a family and we’re always going to be connected by these two little people.”
The Project star went on to share how her split had impacted their children, adding: “I’m so proud of how resilient they’ve been and how they know they’ve got two parents who absolutely love them more than anyone or anything else on the planet. It’s been good to keep that focus.”
