Why you shouldn’t let Karl Stefanovic babysit your kids

A 14-MONTH-old was well behaved during an appearance on the Today show this morning until Karl Stefanovic sat her on his lap. Her reaction was priceless.

THEY say you should never work with kids or animals on live TV and this morning Karl Stefanovic found out why.

Stefanovic and his new co-host, Georgie Gardner, were interviewing Married at First Sight season one contestants Alex Garner and Zoe Hendrix.

The couple appeared in studio with their adorable baby girl, Harper-Rose, who was born in November 2016.

Harper-Rose was well behaved as her parents discussed how they’re still finding out new things about each other after getting married on the reality TV show three years ago.

“It has been a progression,” Alex told the Today co-hosts about their relationship.

“Every day I love Alex,” Zoe chipped in. “Some days I don’t like him.”

“I think having a baby changes a marriage a bit sometimes, but we love each other.”

The pair revealed more kids are on the horizon but said they’d like to take a holiday first.

“I think we might call in for that Cash Cow tomorrow,” Alex joked, seemingly unaware that the Cash Cow is actually from Channel Seven’s Sunrise.

It was an awkward moment, but things were about to get worse.

Karl then offered to look after little Harper-Rose if the couple do end up taking a vacation and he picked up the 14-month-old and put her on his lap.

Harper-Rose’s response was savage. She burst into tears and screamed as Karl played up to the camera.

Maybe Harper-Rose is a Sunrise fan?

After just 15 seconds, Zoe retrieved her baby from Karl’s hands and Harper-Rose’s tears subsided.

Karl ended the hilarious segment by looking down the barrel of the camera and saying, “if you want me to look after your kids, you can contact me on ...”
