Kevin Hart spills on viral Aussie TV moment

Kevin Hart has admitted he said some “hateful things” off-camera to the show’s hosts in 2016 after being ambushed by his biggest fear on live TV.

Kevin Hart has revealed what went on behind-the-scenes on the Today show after he was ambushed with a snake in a video which later went viral.

The comedian was appearing on the breakfast TV program alongside Ice Cube in 2016 when he was confronted with his biggest fear.

Here’s a quick refresher:

Hart, who’s currently in Australia promoting The Secret Life of Pets 2 with co-star Tiffany Haddish, explained to news.com.au that he’d had no warning of what was about to happen — and he really freaked out.

“I said a lot of hateful things, a lot of hateful things, when the cameras stopped rolling,” he admitted.

“I remember one of the things I said was ‘That’s why you white people die — ‘cause y’all like to play with these animals.’ I remember I said that. They had a snake in there (on the show), they had some lizard, they had a whole bunch of stupid stuff.”

While this is Hart’s second round as superhero bunny Snowball in The Secret Life of Pets franchise, the sequel sees Haddish make her debut as cute pooch Daisy.

The family-friendly movie is all about what pets might get up to while we’re out of the house — but Haddish’s real-life experience with her own two dogs was much more X-rated.

“They got in my drawer, and they were chewing up one of my ‘toys’,” the Girls Trip star told news.com.au.

“How ‘bout that? I had to go buy brand new toys … Talk about ‘give a dog a bone’. So inappropriate. I was very upset with these dogs, they were fighting over them … These are some bad b**ches.”
