Kevin Hart freaks out on the TODAY Show

HE’S one of the funniest men on the planet, but Kevin Hart wasn’t laughing when he came face to face with some native Australian creatures on Today this morning.

The comedian freaked out in front of his Ride Along 2 co-star, Ice Cube, when the Channel Nine breakfast team brought out some special guests.

“We understand that you have a deep appreciation of our Aussie native creatures, so we thought we might introduce you to a few of our native creatures,” said Karl Stefanovic.

“What’s going on?” said Hart, as Lisa Wilkinson took him by the hand and walked him to the side of stage where a handler from Wild Animal Encounters was waiting.

“I didn’t work this hard to make it here to die today,” said Hart, clearly terrified by what was lurking inside the animal handler’s boxes.

(Fast forward to the 7:52 mark for the good stuff)

When the handler pulled out a blue-tongue lizard, Hart bolted to the back of the stage and let Ice Cube deal with the close encounter.

“I just got a little bit of gas,” said Hart to the amusement of the Today team.

The comedian recoiled even further when the handler pulled out a black-headed python, which Hart urged his leather jacket clad co-star to stay away from.

“Cube, don’t touch that,” yelled Hart.

“You got his cousin on your back! Snakes are racist, they don’t like black people.”

Ice Cube remained typically cool though and when he reluctantly agreed to hold the python, Hart continued to yell from the back of the stage, saying, “You have lost your mind Cube!”

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are in Australia to promote their new movie, Ride Along 2, which will be released in Australian cinemas on February 18.
