According to Variety, HBO has confirmed it has closed deals with four different writers to explore possible spin-offs of the hit drama, which is based on a book series by George R.R. Martin.

No timeline is yet in place for the development of the projects.

“We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in,” a spokesperson said, according to Variety.

The four writers are reported to be Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island), Jane Goldman (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Brian Helgeland (Legend), and Carly Wray (Mad Men, The Leftovers).

It’s understood Goldman and Wray will each be working individually with novelist and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin.

Season 7 is set to premiere on HBO on July 16 and conclude on August 27.
