SPOILER ALERT: As the Game Of Thrones finale looms a leaked video hints at the return of a character who hasn’t been in the series since the first season.

The video, which has been broadcast on German cable website Sky according to Vanity Fair, purports to be the “previously on” introduction to the finale, however it could quite possibly be a fake.

Still, it has everyone talking mostly due to the appearance of a scene with Jon Snow and his uncle Benjen Stark. Could Ned’s brother could make a return?

Benjen, played by Joseph Mawle, is the Night’s Watch First Ranger who headed North of the Wall in the third episode of the first season to investigate disturbing reports. His horse returned to the wall without him and he hasn’t been seen since.

Jon Snow’s uncle hasn’t made his return yet in George RR Martin’s books but that doesn’t really mean anything any more as the series has already taken a few twists and turns not written about in his novels.

Is Benjen Stark making a comeback?

The scene used in the leaked clip shows Benjen telling Jon he will tell him who his mother is, perhaps the finale is when he will finally find out his true parentage.

He could also return with some valuable information on the White Walkers.

Here’s hoping the clip is real as finally a lot of viewers’ questions would be answered.
