AN ACTOR has told Game Of Thrones fans to “get a f***ing life” after he gave away a potential spoiler about the upcoming sixth season of the show.
73-year-old Ian McShane outraged fans of the fantasy drama during an appearance on BBC Breakfast on March 3 when he let slip with a few too many details about his role in the soon to be released season.
Speaking to The Telegraph, McShane said he couldn’t believe the over-the-top reaction that followed on social media.
“You say the slightest thing and the internet goes ape,” he said.
“I was accused of giving the plot away, but I just think get a fu**ing life. It’s only tits and dragons.”
He might want to prepare for even more hate mail from Game of Thrones fans though, because as he defended himself for dropping a spoiler, he actually went on to drop another.
“They asked me if I wanted to do Game of Thrones and I said, ‘Sure, I’ll be able to see my old pals Charlie Dance and Stephen Dillane’ and they said, ‘No, we’ve killed them off.’ I wasn’t sure whether I could commit, but then they said it would only be for one episode, so I said, ‘So that means I must die at the end of it. Great, I’m in’.”
Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres Monday April 25 at 11am on showcase.
