Funny man Peter Rowsthorn voted off I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!
THE I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! camp is in shock after the dark horse of the competition became the latest to get kicked off the show in the lead up to the finale.
FUNNY man Peter Rowsthorn has said his final jungle joke after being eliminated from reality show I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
The comedian, most famous for playing Brett Craig on Kath & Kim, lasted five and a half weeks living in the South African jungle.
His elimination comes as a shock as he was a favourite to take out the series title from the beginning of the season.
“I’m a bit gutted,” he said. “I’ve had a good time. I’ve met great people, I’ve done some amazing things I would never have done. It had its hard moments but it was a really amazing opportunity.”
Rowsthorn’s departure leaves five celebrities still in the jungle camp ahead of Monday’s finale episode, where a queen or king of the jungle will be crowned.

The 55-year-old, who went into the jungle to pay off a “big tax bill” said he learnt a lot about himself in those five plus weeks.
“I’m pretty patient. I am more driven than I thought I was,” he said. “I have more courage than I thought I had. I am more flexible, mentally flexible, than I thought I was.”

The top four will be announced tomorrow when another celebrity is voted out of the competition.
It has been a week of eliminations with AFL player Josh Gibson, royal butler Paul Burrell and Real Housewives of Melbourne star Jackie Gillies voted out.
Remaining in the jungle are model Simone Holtznagel, British reality star Vicky Pattison, comedian Fiona O’Loughlin, singer Shannon Noll and boxer Danny Green.
“That should have been me, he was meant to win,” a visibly upset Pattison said of Rowsthorn’s eviction, Green adding: “this is brutal”.
They’ve been living off basic rations of beans, rice and oats for more than five weeks, competing in various challenges in the hope of winning the $100,000 prize money for their chosen charity.
Father of four Rowsthorn, 55, lost 12kgs in the more than five weeks he lived in the jungle.
“I am the camp’s biggest loser,” he said, saying he went into the jungle at 87kgs and now weighs around 75kgs.
Going forward, Rowsthorn hopes O’Loughlin wins the series. The pair formed a strong bond in the camp, even creating the characters, Ron and Brenda.
“They’re all a really good chance,” he said. “I’d love Fiona to win it because she’s virtually re-starting her life from scratch so I would love her to do it for that reason.”
