Jackie Gillies gets booted from I’m A Celebrity ahead of grand finale
JACKIE Gillies has been booted off I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! and upon eviction she didn’t hold back when talking about her camp foe, Danny Green.
JACKIE Gillies has accused Danny Green of being intimidating and says she doesn’t understand why the retired boxer had a problem with her.
The Real Housewives of Melbourne reality star was tonight evicted from the South African jungle camp on the Channel Ten show, leaving six celebrities vying for the crown of king or queen of the jungle.
Gillies, wife of Silverchair drummer, Ben, was a popular contestant throughout the series, although tensions between her and Green have flared over recent days.
Leaving the camp, Gillies hugged all remaining contestants except Green.
“He really just didn’t like me and I don’t think he wanted me in the camp, he wanted me voted out and that kind of hurt,” she explained.
“I don’t like people standing over me, I won’t allow it. I did feel intimated, there were times.”

Gillies lasted six weeks in the jungle, and in that time her famous hubby admitted he has missed her so much he’s been sleeping with her clothes.
“I miss you like crazy,” he said.
“I sleep with your T-shirts at night, it is a little but weird. I smell them, that’s really weird. I am so unbelievably proud of you and some of the stuff that you’re doing in the jungle I just can’t believe it. You’re inspiring, you’re amazing, stay in there and win.”
Her departure leaves three male and three female contestants in the jungle camp — Simone Holtznagel, Pattison, Fiona O’Loughlin, Danny Green, Shannon Noll and Peter Rowsthorn.
“One down, six to go,” Green said. “They are dropping like flies.”
After six weeks living off basic rations and competing in various challenges to survive, the series winner will be crowned on Monday night.
Gillies, who will embark on a national tour next month, competed in the hope of raising the $100,000 prize money for the Moira Kelly Creating Hope Foundation.
And while she didn’t win the overall sum, she cried as she announced she would personally donate $25,000 to her chosen charity.
“I think the right thing to do is I’d like to donate personally $25000 from my own money,”
she said.
“Moira gives children a second chance and I love what she does.
“I have had the most amazing emotional experience of my life,” she said. “I came in for Moira Kelly and the foundation and I came in to push myself as far as I could and I am pretty proud of how far I’ve come.
“I would love for anybody else that is watching, even if they can afford a dollar, to donate to the (Moira Kelly) Creating Hope Foundation because she does such beautiful things.”
Looking ahead to Monday’s grand finale, where someone will be crowned king or queen of the jungle, Gillies picked singer Shannon Noll for the title.
“He is a true blue Aussie, such a kind generous man,” she said, adding that she’d also like to see Simone Holtznagel take home the crown.
