Foxtel streaming content expands significantly thanks to NBCUniversal deal

Foxtel’s movie and on demand library will be bolstered with an array of new content, thanks to a deal with NBCUniversal.

Foxtel to reward loyal customers

Foxtel will score a raft of new movies and shows after signing a multi-year deal with mass media company, NBCUniversal.

The media giants today announced their extended agreement would cover movies, drama, comedy, entertainment, reality and news, with a plethora of new on demand content and Universal Pictures movies to hit Foxtel* streaming.

Foxtel’s vast movie library will be bolstered with hit films including The Fast and the Furious, Jurassic, Bourne and Jaws franchises, in addition to DreamWorks Animation titles.

Customers will continue to have access to shows such as The Real Housewives, Suits, Keeping Up With The Kardashians and The Office (US).

Universal TV will also join Foxtel’s new FOX Crime channel in providing a line up of crime and procedural drama including multiple series in the Law & Order and Chicago franchises.

NBCU will also provide Bravo’s popular reality series, including season five of locally commissioned hit reality series The Real Housewives of Melbourne, currently in pre-production and due to hit streaming next year.

It comes after Foxtel launched it’s new loyalty program, Foxtel First, a tenure-based initiative designed to reward both new and loyal customers of the business.
