Piers Morgan slams tribunal ruling that calling a man ‘bald’ is sexual harassment
TV host Piers Morgan has blasted a UK employment tribunal that ruled the use of the word ‘bald’ to describe a man was a form of sexual harassment.
Piers Morgan has blasted a UK tribunal panel for ruling that calling a man bald is a form of sexual harassment.
During a segment of his self-titled show, available to stream on Flash, the Sky News host weighed in on the matter, calling the judgement “hair-wrenchingly ridiculous”.
“There’s nothing sexual about being bald!,” the broadcaster said.
“No bald man has ever been wolf-whistled in the street, or objectified in the office by a leering woman saying, ‘That’s a hot shiny dome you got there darling …’
“Being bald is just a fact of life, not a topic for sexual harassment lawsuits.”

The move comes after an electrician, Tony Finn claimed unfair dismissal from his job because he said he was subjected to discrimination for having no hair.
His supervisor Jamie King called him a “bald c**t”.
Mr Finn won his case after a panel of balding judges determined that hair loss is much more prevalent among men than women, and using it to describe someone is a form of discrimination.
“There is a connection between the word ‘bald’ on the one hand and the protected characteristic of sex on the other,” the panel said.
“Women as well as men may be bald.
“However, as all three members of the tribunal will vouchsafe, baldness is much more prevalent in men than women.
“We find it to be inherently related to sex.”
Mr Finn’s sexual harassment compensation will be decided later.
