‘It’s a complete disgrace’: Piers Morgan fires up about cancel culture at US universities

TV host Piers Morgan has weighed in on the woke mob and cancel culture at university campuses across the US.

Piers Morgan has spoken out about the fight against cancel culture at universities and increasing censorship in the US.

The broadcaster appeared on the Fox News program Fox & Friends, available to stream on Flash, where the morning news show discussed college professors speaking out about woke culture on campuses.

The Sky News host weighed in on the matter, calling it a “complete disgrace” of growing censorship of free-speech at universities across America and professors speaking out about being punished for their dissenting viewpoints.

“It is utterly ridiculous if genuinely professors are now being held to ransom by a bunch of woke, indoctrinating kids who think they can control the people that are trying to teach them a rounded view of life, which is what the whole point of university or college is supposed to be,” he said on the talk show.

“And the moment that stops, you have professors being hounded out of their jobs being punished for expressing opinion, then you’re going to start creating a whole generation of students who come out of these places who are completely indoctrinated.

“Not in a way in which the majority of people feel about issues in life, sort of a very small minority of very vocal, pretty ultra woke, ultra left people who have decided it is incumbent on them to – in a fascist-light way – dictate how we’re all going to think about everything.

“It is a terrifying thing to see experienced, knowledgeable professors getting hounded out of their job for having an opinion that these kids should be hearing. And it’s got to stop.”

The TV personality has recently been vocal about the woke mob and cancel culture.

Last month, the journalist slammed Disney for going woke after the corporation removed the use of gendered pronouns at its theme parks.

Morgan expressed his frustration with the entertainment giant, calling the move “pathetic”.

“You can’t go to a theme park and hear the words, “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.” What’s going on?” he said.

“You’ve got this small group of very vocal, very woke people, very active online, and they bully companies into following their narrow world view.”
