While numerous big name stars miss Perth off their schedules when visiting Australia due to its remote location, fans had expected Sivan, who was born in Perth, to make sure to stop by.

But fans have now been left upset and disappointed with Sivan’s decision to snub his hometown.

After the dates were announced, fans rushed to social media to hit out at the singer.

“You’re telling me Troye Sivan who is FROM PERTH is not including Perth on his tour???? OK cool cool,” ranted one annoyed fan.

A second tweeted: “Where the hell the Perth show at? Imagine being from Perth and not playing your hometown!”

“It’s time we ban Troye Sivan from Perth if this is how he wants to act,” shared another, while a fourth fan hit back: “No Perth? why do you hate your hometown Troye Sivan!”

Seeing the comments pile up, Sivan attempted to stem the tide by teasing the potential of further news.

“I’m not saying there are more shows that haven’t been announced yet, but chill on me for a sec,” he replied to one comment.

Sivan, whose most recent studio album Something to Give Each Other was an Australian #1, will play at venues including the Sydney Opera House forecourt and Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl for the four-date jaunt.

It’s the first headlining Australian tour in five years for Sivan, 29, who is currently touring the US with fellow pop star Charli XCX.

Rising singer-songwriter Nick Ward, who co-wrote the song Can’t Go Back, Baby on Sivan’s latest album, will be the support act for the Aussie tour.

And expect a raunchy show – Sivan’s X-rated onstage antics with his backup dancers made headlines when his tour began earlier this year.

Tickets go on sale 12pm local time, Tuesday July 16, with a Live Nation presale starting 11am Monday July 15.
