Sporty Spice has dropped a major Spice Girls Aussie reunion tour tease during Sydney show
Sporty Spice has dropped a major Spice Girls Aussie reunion tour tease during a Sydney Show.
Sporty Spice has shocked fans by hinting at a potential Spice Girls reunion trip to Australia.
The Spice Girl also known as Mel C dropped a major tease during her recent DJ set at Sydney’s Heaps Gay harbour party.
“Thank you so much, I’ve had the most incredible two weeks in Australia,” Mel C said on stage.
“I hope to see you very soon and I maybe I’ll bring my friends with me,” she continued, as fans cheered in approval.
She reiterated the teaser during a backstage interview, saying: “I just can’t wait to come back.
“And as I said on stage… keen to bring the others with me.”
Heaps Gay captioned the backstage interview: “Did Mel C secretly announce Spice Girls will be playing heaps gay’s next party?”
Mel C’s announcement is in-line with the latest rumours, first started earlier this year when Mel B, Scary Spice, revealed all five Spice Girls will reunite.
While filming her role as judge on “The Masked Singer” in Australia in July, Mel B said her future plans include an unknown project with all her former bandmates after Victoria Beckham, Posh Spice, asked them to get together.
“We are doing something together as the Spice Girls and it has always been me kind of championing everybody together,” she told The Daily Telegraph.
“This time it was actually Victoria that was saying, ‘Come on, let’s all do something.’”
“So we have got something in the works, which will be announced soon,” she teased.
This isn’t the first time a Spice Girls member has hinted at an upcoming Australian Tour.
In 2022 Baby Spice, Emma Bunton, teased a potential Aussie Tour during an interview on Channel 7.
“I absolutely love coming to Australia,” she said in the interview.
“I’m hoping that’s going to be our next stop, so fingers crossed.”
The iconic English pop group reunited last time in 2019 for a short stadium tour in the United Kingdom.
The Spice Girls were on track to be touring together to Australia in February 2020, yet the plans were reportedly halted by Ginger Spice.
The five singers were also rumoured to be visiting in 2021 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe, but no dates were ever announced.
