Madonna shares sentimental meaning behind new tattoo

Completing a “trilogy of tattoos”, superstar Madonna has shared the sentimental meaning behind her latest design.

Less than a year after getting her first-ever tattoo, Madonna’s adding more ink.

The iconic singer, 63, debuted her third tattoo on Monday, posting a video of her session with tattoo artist Elë Ramirez.

“I’m completing the trilogy of tattoos that I planned to do,” Madge said in the clip, filmed in her own bedroom while some of her six children look on, as reported by Page Six.

Her newest design features the Hebrew word for “kissed”, written on her wrist below her kids’ initials.

“Life is a journey to remove the Space between ourselves and humanity,” the Queen of Pop wrote of the new tattoo, wishing her followers a happy Hanukkah.

Madonna got her second tattoo earlier this year: an “X” to honour her “Madame X” album, inked on her other wrist.

She also left her mark on Ramirez, adding a black “X” on the top of the artist’s hand.

While she declared her work “terrible”, fans flooded her Instagram comments with requests to be tattooed by the star.

“Don’t tell anyone I did it,” she joked to Ramirez.
