UK pop star Sarah Harding has revealed today she is battling breast cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.
The Girls Aloud star, 38, made the heartbreaking revelation on Twitter that the cancer has advanced to other parts of her body.
She posted a photo of herself from her hospital bed and said she is “fighting as hard as I possibly can” as she shared the shocking news.
Sarah tweeted: “Hi everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and well during these uncertain times.

“There’s no easy way to say this and actually it doesn’t even feel real writing this, but here goes.
“Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.
“I’m currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can.
“I understand this might be shocking to read on social media and that really isn’t my intention.
“But last week it was mentioned online that I had been seen in hospital, so I feel now is the time to let people know what’s going on and this is the best way I can think of to do so.
“My amazing mum, family and close friends are helping me through this, and I want to say a thank you to the wonderful NHS doctors and nurses who have been and continue to be heroes.
“I am doing my very best to keep positive and will keep you updated here with how I’m getting on.
“In the meantime I hope you’ll all understand and respect my request for privacy during this difficult time.”

Sarah found fame with Girls Aloud when she auditioned for reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
The pop group had a glittering career with 20 consecutive top ten singles, including four number ones, before they went on a hiatus.
Sarah later struggled with alcohol dependence and depression and was admitted to rehab in Cape Town in 2011.
She later bounced back and won Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, with more than a third of the public vote.
Last March, it was reported she had gone into hiding and was stepping back from the spotlight after her fame with Girls Aloud.
She had remained out of the spotlight since her romance with fellow UK Celebrity Big Brother contestant Chad Johnson ended and her hopes of a solo music project were derailed.
In May, she returned to social media for the first time since July, 2019 and posted tweets after her ex Chad claimed last year that “nobody has really heard from her”.
In 2017, she revealed she got dumped “six months” before her wedding by her ”toxic” fiance Tom Crane. The pair dated for five years and got engaged during a trip to the Maldives over Christmas in 2010.
However, within a few months rumours started circulating that the pair had split and in September Tom confirmed the wedding was off via his Twitter account.
