Zack Snyder’s Justice League alternate plot will blow your mind

While fans were enamoured with Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut, they may not be in favour of his story idea for a sequel.

Last week, fans finally got what they wanted years ago in the form of Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut.

The four-hour Warner Bros. epic hit streaming on Binge on Thursday, express with the rest of the world, quickly notched a near perfect fan rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Despite its lengthy runtime, Zack Snyder’sJustice League certainly left the door open for a sequel.

And that was exactly what Snyder planned for. Not one, but two more sequels.

“When I made the film originally, it was part of a five-part trilogy,” Snyder told Vanity Fair, revealing his Justice League sits in the middle with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman forming the first two parts.

“There were two more episodes of the Justice League to be shot,” he added.

So, does that mean we’re getting two more films? Snyder told the publication it was unlikely, before he proceeded to drop a bunch of spoilers about his story ideas if it were to transpire.

“Jim Lee (DC Comics artist) had done some drawings for me of the entire thing, the entire pantheon all the way to the new Batman after Batman dies,” Snyder said. “Well, this is a spoiler”.

BATMAN IS DEAD?

Yes, according to Snyder, Ben Affleck’s Batman would be killed off in the next chapter of his Snyderverse story to make way for a new caped crusader.

But who?

Throughout Zack Snyder’s Justice League there is a suggestion Lois Lane (Amy Adams) is pregnant with Superman’s (Henry Cavill) baby.

Snyder confirmed this to VF.

“Lois is pregnant at the end of the movie. The pregnancy test can be seen on her night stand with a label from the fictional brand Force Majeure, a French phrase that basically translates to ‘unforeseeable circumstances’,” Snyder said.

The director said in the currently non-existent sequel, the plot would see Affleck’s Batman fail to save Lois from Darkseid’s force in an early sequence, leading to Superman’s vulnerability, and subsequently the deaths of Wonder Woman and Aquaman, too.

Aquaman and Wonder Woman would also die in a potential sequel.

However, thanks to Mother Boxes and the reversal of time (and a whole lot of other convoluted storylines you can read about here), Batman gets a do-over and dies a heroic death to save Lois, who is ultimately the key to the preservation of the world given she is Superman’s lover, who can’t succumb to the Anti-Life Equation.

Lois and Clark Kent would then name their son Bruce Kent, in honour of “uncle Bruce Wayne”, who they will then encourage to carry on Batman’s legacy.

“He (Bruce Kent) doesn’t have any (of Superman’s) powers, and then he was going to end up being the new Batman,” Snyder said.

“Anyway,” he said. “Something like that.”

It sounds like a call for Snyderverse fans to launch another campaign.
