Zack Snyder’s ‘epic’ Justice League cut gets near perfect fan rating
Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut hit streaming last night, and diehard fans were not disappointed.
There was almost unachievably high expectations, but Zack Snyder’s Justice League has managed to captivate the masses.
The special 2021 cut of the disappointing 2017 film, which Snyder stepped down from at the time after the sudden death of his young daughter, hit streaming on BINGE last night at the same time as the rest of the world.
And the four-hour long Warner Bros. blockbuster, which sees the unification of DC’s iconic characters, has already notched a 97 per cent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Over on social media, a leading talking point is the inclusion of Jared Leto’s Joker, who didn’t appear in the 2017 outing, and his interaction with Ben Affleck’s Batman in what some viewers dubbed the “best Batman-Joker interaction of all time”.

Honestly I don't think I've seen a more intense scene between Batman and Joker than I did in this. It was nothing short of perfection! Jared got his redemption, Ben came back for this scene and now I want soooo much more of this interaction ð#RestoreTheSnyderverse#SnyderCutpic.twitter.com/Uh8cMnPWHy

Fans petitioned for the release of Snyder’s Justice League cut after being left underwhelmed by the original film three years ago, which was taken over by Joss Whedon.
Answering their prayers, Snyder binned Whedon’s scenes, restored his own, reshot multiple new ones and dedicated the new cut to his daughter Autumn, who died of suicide in 2017.
Judging by the defeaning reaction on Twitter, where the film has been trending overnight, it’s clear their valiant four-year campaign was worth it:

Snyder earlier admitted he has never watched the 2017 version because he knew it had “sewed an arm on to the chest” of his baby.
“Have I ever had some interest in watching the (2017) movie?” Snyder said.
“You know, not really … A little bit of course — What did they do, what happened to my thing?
“They sewed an arm on the chest of the … I didn’t know what they did!
“I did have some interest but after Chris (producer Christopher Nolan) and (wife) Deb sat me down and were like: ‘Don’t do that, don’t ever do that’, I was like: OK, I trust you guys’.”
