Hugh Jackman posts about unedited nude scene in X-Men

Hugh Jackman was shocked to discover a cheeky scene from X-Men had made its way onto Disney+.

The Latest: Ryan Reynolds FOUL-MOUTHED birthday message for Hugh Jackman!

Hugh Jackman is as surprised as the rest of us that one of his biggest films features on a family-friendly streaming service complete with an unedited nude scene.

X-Men: Days of Future Past has landed on Disney+ with a cheeky scene intact in which the actor’s behind is in full view.

It comes despite the service recently releasing an edited version of Splash with CGI hair covering Daryl Hannah’s posterior, presumably to support a no-nudity stance.

Jackman, who plays mutant Wolverine in the popular franchise, expressed his surprise to Instagram followers today, sharing a still of his butt (covered by an emoji) with the caption: “Days Of Future Past becomes the first movie to air on Disney+ uncensored.

“That was my future but let’s be honest … it’s more like my past.”

Famous bestie of the Aussie star, Ryan Reynolds — who has been locked in a hilarious public faux-feud with Jackman for years — commented: “Excited for them to do the same for Deadpool. It’s time children knew.”

Deadpool, which stars Reynolds as the foul-mouthed antihero, was rated MA15+ in Australia for graphic violence, language, nudity and sexual references.

Fans have flocked to comment on the unedited film, pointing out that it also contains use of the F-bomb.

Twitter user Empire A. L. C commented that it could be the first on the streaming service to have such colourful language.

“X-men Days of Future Past is on Disney+ now but it’s actually left uncensored. This a** scene is left alone and it’s the first movie on Disney+ to have an F-bomb,” they said.

In April, another Disney+ viewer noticed a bit of a hairy situation in mermaid film Splash starring Daryl Hannah, which made its debut on the streaming service in February.

Viewer Allison Pregler noticed that the scene where Madison (Daryl Hannah) kisses Allen (Tom Hanks) on a beach, then turns around and dives into the water was, uh, a little different than the original.

If you’re unfamiliar with Splash, it’s about a man who falls in love with a mermaid. So, in this scene, Madison doesn’t have any clothes on because she’s on land, and when she pivots towards the ocean, the version available on Disney+ shows CGI hair on her backside instead of bare flesh.

“Disney+ didn’t want butts on their platform so they edited Splash with digital fur technology,” Pregler tweeted.

It’s clear that the version of Splash on Disney+ was edited to cover up any nudity, one of the lines Disney won’t cross with content on the platform.

… Unless, of course, it’s Hugh Jackman.
