Ryan Reynolds trolls Hugh Jackman on wedding anniversary

Talk about a low blow. Ryan Reynolds just reignited his “beef” with Hugh Jackman – during Hugh’s wedding anniversary celebrations.

Poor Hugh Jackman couldn’t even celebrate his wedding anniversary without Ryan Reynolds continuing their long-running “feud”.

The real-life friends have been engaged in a tongue-in-cheek social media war for years now, never missing an opportunity to twist the knife in front of their millions of followers.

Jackman, 51, celebrated his 24th wedding anniversary with wife Deborra-Lee Furness, 64, over the Easter weekend, marking the occasion by sharing a vintage picture of the couple together on his Instagram.

“These 24 years have been the best of my life! And, as far as I can see, we keep getting better,” Jackman captioned the adorable post.

Some of Jackman’s A-list friends congratulated the couple under the post – but not Reynolds.

“Hang in there, Deb,” he wrote:

Real funny, Ryan.

The pair’s jokey feud most recently fired up on Jackman’s October birthday last year when Reynolds sent his pal a very salty video message.

Jackman, performing on stage in his musical world tour, had earlier quipped after one particularly energetic musical number: “Let’s see Ryan Reynolds do that.”

“Hello Hugh. I was just going to wish you Happy Birthday … then I saw what you said. In a word, hurtful. Enjoy the show, Hugh Jackman,” a party-hatted Reynolds said in the video message.

Reynolds then belted out a few lines of Happy Birthday to Jackman. “And I’m not even professionally trained, Jackman, you piece of sh*t!” he said before flipping the bird at the camera.

The pair’s jokey “feud” has been brewing online over the past couple of years as they play up to their respective fan bases. Memorable moments include Jackman filming an unflattering ad for Reynolds’ brand of gin, asking viewers to urinate on Reynolds’ Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and Reynolds quipping “Pretty sure those are protesters” under a picture of Jackman posing with fans.

Reynolds even went to the trouble of releasing a mock political ad to slam his rival.

“Hugh speaks with a charming accent, but he’s actually from Milwaukee,” Reynolds said in the ad, claiming Jackman is an impostor whose real name is “Hugh Michael Jackman”.

The pair have even enlisted other actors to their rivalry — Jake Gyllenhaal and John Krasinski among them.
