Taylor Swift leads celebrity arrivals on MTV EMAs red carpet
The chart-smashing US pop singer has cut a vastly different figure in a very risque dress as she hit the red carpet at the MTV EMAs in Germany.
Taylor Swift has led celebrity arrivals on the red carpet for the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The 32-year-old US singer, whose 10th studio album Midnights is dominating the charts, attended the event in Dusseldorf, Germany on Sunday in an unusually risque dress.
Swift posed for photographers in a black bodysuit with a dazzling see-through skirt.
British singer Harry Styles led the nominations for this year’s MTV EMAs with seven nods, while Swift trailed closely behind with six.
But it’s Swift who has emerged victorious with four wins, taking out the coveted Best Artist award over the likes of Styles, Adele, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and Rosalia. She also picked up Best Longform Video for All Too Well (10 Minute Version).
Swift is busier than she’s ever been in her career, with the record-breaking release of Midnights in October, which followed hot off her two 2020 albums folklore and evermore.
She’s also, casually, re-recording her past albums from her highly controversial stint at Big Machine Records, having already released Fearless (2008) and Red (2012). She is still to release Taylor Swift (2006), Speak Now (2010), 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017).
The superstar has also announced a global stadium tour, Eras, with the US leg kicking off in March next year.
Elsewhere, British singer Rita Ora and her husband, New Zealand director Taika Waititi looked every bit the loved-up couple as they walked hand-in-hand down the red carpet.
Ora, 31, wore a plunging black gown with floral embellishments while Waititi, 47, looked dapper in a black tuxedo. The duo hosted the ceremony, which saw performances from David Guetta, Bebe Rexha and Gorillaz.
