Beyoncé debuts platinum blond hair at Renaissance film premiere
The iconic singer unveiled her style transformation as she hit the chrome carpet for the premiere of her new concert film in LA.
Beyoncé was a vision on the chrome carpet at the premiere of her concert film, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.
The Halo singer, 42, stepped out at Los Angeles’ Samuel Goldwyn Theatre on Saturday night in a dazzling metallic gown by Versace.
Beyoncé looked statuesque in the custom, figure-hugging strapless dress, which she paired with matching opera gloves and silver pumps.
She added a pair of silver statement earrings and complemented the look with metallic smokey eye makeup and nude lipstick.
Beyoncé even ditched her usual golden honey locks in favour of a long, platinum blond ‘do which cascaded down her back.
Donatella Versace shared a snap of the singer from the red carpet, writing in the caption, “@beyonce, you are a vision in Versace. You are unique. One of one, the number one, the only one!!! I can’t wait to see the Renaissance tour movie.”
The Grammy winner kept the details of the premiere very hush-hush, only telling her guests the arrival time and to dress in accordance with the “cozy opulence” theme, Variety reported.
“The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged,” Beyoncé said in the film’s trailer, which dropped last month.
“Start over, start fresh, create the new. That’s what the Renaissance is about.”
The movie, which arrives in cinemas December. 1, will chronicle the pop icon’s most recent tour. Her record-breaking, international “Renaissance” tour began in Europe in May and concluded in Kansas City in October.
Lizzo, Kelly Rowland, Lori Harvey, Halle Bailey, Ava DuVernay, Tyler Perry and Gabrielle Union were among the celebs in attendance at the film’s premiere, though Taylor Swift was noticeably absent.
The Cruel Summer singer, 33, who also released a concert film this fall, was on stage in Brazil continuing the international leg of her Eras Tour on Saturday.
Just one month prior, she gushed over Beyoncé when she made a surprise appearance on the red carpet at Swift’s Eras Tour movie premiere.
“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce’s influence,” she captioned a heartfelt Instagram post featuring the iconic pop duo sitting side-by-side in the theatre.
She went on to praise the Destiny’s Child star’s “generosity of spirit … resilience and versatility,” as well as “the way she’s taught [Swift] and every artist to break rules and defy industry norms.”
