The ’03 Bonnie and Clyde are making power moves.

Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z paid a whopping $US200 million ($300 million) for their new home in California, making it the most expensive house ever sold in that state, according to TMZ.

The 30,000 square foot (2787 sq m) Malibu property was designed by Japanese master architect Tadao Ando, who also created Kanye West’s $US57.3 million ($86 million) mansion he acquired during his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

The all-concrete home was previously owned by art collector William Bell and took him 15 years to build, per the outlet.

The Crazy In Love collaborators reportedly got a great deal on the stricture, as it was actually listed for $US295 million ($443 million).

This investment reportedly is also the second most expensive real estate contract in the country, as a New York City apartment was previously sold for $US238 million ($357 million).

Fans on social media had mixed reactions to the Carters’ new purchase. Several people thought the buy was “excessive” and some called Beyoncé, 41, and Jay-Z, 53, “capitalists”.

“No person in a normal society should have so much wealth,” tweeted one person.

“Who tf buys a house that costs this much bro that’s so useless you could buy SO much land to save the earth but you rather spend it on a f***ing house…,” wrote another.

Other fans, however, defended the musicians’ massive purchase.

“some of y’all are mad that they’re spending THEIR money the way that THEY want to??? stop worrying ab celebs money and go get a job of ur own. it’s clear y’all are insanely jobless,” wrote a supporter of the couple.

“Beyoncé now literally owns a house in the shape of her favourite number & the most expensive house ever sold. ICONIC,” commented another fan.
