2000s pop star looks unrecognisable on BAFTA red carpet
The former pop star turned actress made a showstopping appearance at the BAFTA awards, looking nothing like her usual self.
Pop star turned actress Billie Piper has made a showstopping entrance at the annual British Academy Television Awards with a very different look.
The British star, 40, who was nominated for Best Actress at this year’s event at London’s Royal Festival Hall, hit the red carpet in a sequined blue full bodysuit with gloves and stiletto boots.
Piper’s dark hair was pulled back into an elaborate updo featuring buns and tiny braids, which she accentuated with heavy black eye make-up.
That's Billie Piper? Would NOT have guessed that.

The Honey to the B singer was nominated at this year’s awards for her role as leading character Suzie Pickles in dark comedy I Hate Suzie, but lost to Kate Winslet for I Am Ruth.
Winslet, 47, made a rare appearance with her lookalike daughter Mia Threapleton for this year’s ceremony, with the pair hitting the red carpet in matching monochrome outfits.
The Oscar winner shares the 22-year-old with ex-husband Jim Threapleton.
Accepting the award onstage, Winslet gave a heartwarming tribute to her eldest child.
“If I could cut this in half, I would give the other half to my daughter,” Winslet began.
A teary Mia was seen in the crowd blowing kisses to her mother, before mouthing, ‘I love you.’
“We did this together kiddo,” Winslet added.
“There were days when it was agony for her to dig as deeply as she did into very frightening emotional territories sometimes, and it took my breath away.”
Winslet and Threapleton co-starred in one episode of the UK trilogy series, which premiered in December.
