BAFTA red carpet: Kate Winslet’s rare outing with lookalike daughter
British actress Kate Winslet has hit the BAFTAs red carpet with her lookalike 22-year-old daughter – before sharing a sweet tribute to her onstage.
British actress Kate Winslet has stepped out for a rare red carpet appearance with her lookalike daughter.
The Oscar winner, 47, attended the BAFTA TV awards at The Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday, local time, alongside her 22-year-old daughter Mia Threapleton, who she shares with ex-husband Jim Threapleton.
The pair posed on the media wall side-by-side ahead of the ceremony, where Winslet won lead actress for the series I Am Ruth, which co-stars Mia as Winslet’s on-screen daughter.
Accepting the award onstage, Winslet gave a heartwarming tribute to her eldest child.
“If I could cut this in half, I would give the other half to my daughter,” Winslet began.
A teary Mia was seen in the crowd blowing kisses to her mother, before mouthing, ‘I love you.’
“We did this together kiddo,” Winslet added.
“There were days when it was agony for her to dig as deeply as she did into very frightening emotional territories sometimes, and it took my breath away.”

Winslet and Threapleton starred in one episode of the UK trilogy series, which premiered in December.
Their instalment followed concerned mother Ruth (Winslet) who was struggling to help her teenage daughter Freya (Threapleton) amid her dangerous social media addiction.
Winslet, who has been married three times, also has two other children, including 19-year-old Joe Mendes, whom she welcomed with ex-husband director Sam Mendes.
She also shares Bear Blaze Winslet, 9, with her current husband Edward Abel Smith.
Meanwhile, Mia is following in her famous mum’s footsteps, making her feature film debut in the 2014 film A Little Chaos, which starred Winslet and the late Alan Rickman.
She scored a lead role in the 2020 thriller, Shadows, and appeared in six episodes of the TV show Dangerous Liaisons last year.
