‘The love diet’: James Packer’s former fiancee Tziporah Malkah drops 19kg
SHE tipped the scales at 120kg and was classified as “morbidly obese” by her doctor. But now the model once known as Kate Fischer has dropped the weight.
AFTER her doctor classified her “morbidly obese”, Tziporah Malkah vowed to lose 20kg. And she’s done it.
The model formerly known as Kate Fischer — and ex-fiancee of James Packer — has dropped an impressive 19kg.
While some people might just credit diet and exercise for a trimmer figure, it seems a rekindled romance is the secret weapon behind the weight loss.
“I call it the love diet,” a friend of Malkah told New Idea this week.
After appearing on Network Ten’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! in March, Malkah reconnected with her teenage love Guy Vasey. The pair now live together on the coast in South Australia.
“Guy has been training her and walking with her each day to encourage her, because she genuinely wants to get her body back in shape — it’s working!” the friend told the publication, adding Malkah hopes to lose another 10kg.
Appearing at an event earlier this month, the former model posed for a photo and showed off her slimmer-looking frame.
Before Malkah was sent into the jungle on Network Ten’s extreme reality show, she tipped the scales at 118kg. While she lost 14kg during her time on the show, she put the weight back on after injuring her foot once the program finished.
Months before entering the jungle, she told New Idea her goal was to lose 20kg, stating she was “way too heavy”.
“This is doctor’s orders — he says I’m morbidly obese. My blood pressure is way too high and I’m likely to die prematurely unless I lose weight. So my life depends on this. I’m ready!” she told the magazine.
“I don’t advocate fatness or thinness, but some of us fight the good fight in regards to our weight all the time. It can be mentally all-consuming and very draining — particularly if there are other stresses and distractions going on in one’s life.”
During her time in the I’m A Celeb jungle, Malkah opened up about developing a “chronic eating disorder” at the age of eight.
“I don’t have a healthy relationship with food. Since I was eight and I am 43,” she said. “I have never eaten healthy within the 35 years. It has been a lifelong condition.”
