‘So upset’: Star’s bizarre Snoop Dogg encounter

An actress who starred alongside Snoop Dogg has shared the details of their bizarre first meeting on a chat show this week.

Snoop Dogg was so starstruck when he met his Bones co-star Pam Grier that he “fainted” on the bathroom floor. While looking back on their first meeting, Grier revealed on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live that she was “upset” because she couldn’t imagine the rapper “lying in urine.”

During the After Show, a virtual fan asked Grier for her reaction to Snoop Dogg passing out upon meeting her.

“I knew when it was happening,” she told host Andy Cohen. “He was turning pale and he got up and he wobbled to the men’s room. I said, ‘Is he OK?’ He went in and fell down on the pissy floor and fainted.”

She continued, “I was so upset that they cleaned him up and brought him back out and we sat together. I didn’t know I had that effect on him. He’s such a lovely person, I just couldn’t imagine him lying in urine.”

Snoop Dogg previously detailed the awkward moment on an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, revealing that it happened when they were on their way to film the 2001 horror film Bones.

“I’m sitting down and Pam Grier walk up and she sit right next to me and start talking to me,” he recalled. “My heart beating fast. So I’m like, ‘OK. I hear what you saying, Pam. Give me a minute.’ I go to the bathroom and faint.”

The actor said his security pulled him off the “nasty floor” and wiped him down, noting that he ultimately got to sit with Grier for their entire flight.

“I didn’t even look at her. She was talking to me and I was like, ‘I can’t believe who I’m sitting next to.’ But she broke me down,” he said. “She gave me information on how to be a better actor, a better person and how to receive people like this who you are infatuated with. So I thanked her for that. And I believe I became a better actor after that.”

He concluded, “So, Pam, I love you for that and I appreciate you.”
