In the latest episode of her podcast Archetypes, the Duchess of Sussex spoke about being a mother-of-two to Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, and gave a rare insight into her “chaotic” day-to-day routine with husband Prince Harry.

“For me, it’s, you know, both [baby] monitors on, for the kids, to hear them, always up [in the morning] with Lily, get her downstairs, then a half-hour later Archie’s up,” she said.

She said Harry helps get Archie downstairs, before she makes breakfast for all three of them.

“I make breakfast for all three of them. It’s very important to me. I love doing it,” she said. “To me, it just feels like the greatest way to start the morning.”

She said it’s then time to feed all three dogs, before getting set for the rest of the day.

“Then get Archie out the door for school, but it does, it feels like a whirlwind,” she added, saying Harry was a “great” help.

The former Suits actress sympathetically went on to say: “How someone does this without a partner to help them through?

“It is so much work to be a mum.”

During Wednesday’s episode of Paul Murray Live, available to stream on Flash, the Sky News Australia contributor Megyn Kelly unloaded on the Duchess’ comments.

“I love that she’s trying to do the ‘I’m just like you … I make breakfast for my two kids … and I get them off to school’,” she said on the program.

“Hello, that’s called motherhood, shut up!

“Most of us don’t run around looking for credit for it. It’s what you do when you have children.”

The former Fox News presenter went on to criticise Meghan’s friendship with Sophie Trudeau, wife to Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The Canadian First Lady was featured on the latest episode of Archetypes as the two discussed motherhood.

“‘There we were together. We drank wine on the terrace. We were giddy like absolute school girls’,” Ms Kelly said sarcastically while imitating Meghan.

“‘This wasn’t our day of being the wives and mums all perfectly quaffed with updos and pearls and demure smiles.’

“She’s so relatable isn’t she, ladies. Isn’t this how we all spend our free time when we’re not taking care of our children, looking for pats on the back.

“Meanwhile, you know she’s got a full staff as big as Downton Abbey helping her get this cereal on the little tray for the baby.

“Oh stop it, no one believes any of this and you don’t get credit for being a normal person.”

Ms Kelly has been a frequent critic of the Duchess.

Last month, the TV personality ripped into Meghan’s claims she felt “objectified” as a “bimbo” when she worked as a briefcase girl on the US TV game show Deal or No Deal.

“The laughable notion that she did not know what she was getting herself into when she took a job in which one’s only mission is to look tan, wear false eyelashes and wear a skimpy shiny dress while opening a suitcase,” she said.

“She knew exactly what she was getting herself into on that job and it was no surprise to her that they wanted her to look as good as possible while doing it.

“What she’s trying to con us on now is whether she enjoyed it. She loved every minute of it. She wanted to be objectified.

“She wanted the adulation just like she still wants it to this day.”
