William and Kate’s glam appearance at Bond premiere
Kate Middleton was positively glowing as she hit the red carpet at the No Time To Die premiere in a dramatic floor-length gold gown.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have made a glamorous appearance on the red carpet at the London premiere of No Time To Die.
The inaugural screening of the long-awaited new Bond movie at Royal Albert Hall was also attended by a host of A-listers, including 007 star Daniel Craig, who has now officially stepped back from the franchise after five instalments as the spy.
The Duchess of Cambridge had all eyes on her in a floor-length gold sequinned Jenny Packham gown, with draping caped sleeves and an elaborate up-do.
The designer dress appeared to be custom-made for Kate, with a similar version retailing between $5,200 and $7000.
Meanwhile, Prince William kept it simple in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie.
In a rare royal joint appearance, Prince Charles and Camilla joined the couple for the black-tie affair.
The Duchess of Cornwall was also dressed to the nines, in a pale blue embellished gown by Bruce Oldfield.
The royals were introduced to No Time To Die screenwriters Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade on the red carpet, as well as singer Billie Eilish and her musician brother Finneas O’Connell, who co-wrote the new Bond theme song.
They also met with producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and director Cary Joji Fukunaga.
William, Kate, Charles and Camilla were joined at the screening by a number of healthcare workers and members of the armed forces, who were invited along in a show of gratitude for their critical work during the covid pandemic.
Earlier this month, after several false starts, the next highly-anticipated instalment in the Bond franchise was officially given an Australian release date.
No Time To Die is due to hit cinemas on November 11 – more than 18 months after its original release date.
It was initially scheduled for release in April 2020, but became the first blockbuster movie to be postponed as coronavirus began to sweep the globe.
The first reschedule was to November 2020 before it was moved again to April 2021. Prior to today’s announcement, it had been slated for an October release.
