Kitty Spencer married a billionaire in true Spencer style, donning not one, but five designer gowns over the course of her wedding day.

Lady Kitty Spencer wore not one, but five designer dresses on her wedding day.

The British model niece of Princess Diana – who was a global fashion icon – married billionaire Michael Lewis, 62, in a luxurious ceremony in Italy at the weekend.

The 30-year-old was a marital muse for Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana – of which she is an ambassador – slipping into a handful of custom-made gowns over the course of her big day, which was held at Villa Aldobrandini in Frascati.

The first was a Victorian-inspired lace number with tight bodice, peaked shoulders, a turtleneck and lengthy train.

Designer Domenico Dolce told Tatler that Kitty wanted her ceremony dress to be “fairly traditional” and “timeless”.

Co-designer Stefano Gabbana added that while they drew inspiration from Kitty’s love of Italy, she is also “a girl who is very attached to her origins, to England; to her heritage of the great Victorian era”.

Her further four gowns were all created from Kitty’s “great passion for all kinds of flowers”, with the reception look an off-the shoulder, handpainted white silk gown embellished with flowers and crystals.

Ahead of the nuptials at a celebratory dinner, Kitty wore a strapless blue tulle gown with hand-stitched pink flowers to represent “something blue”.

Of course, her diamonds were equally as mesmerising.

To dance the night away following dinner, Lady Kitty slipped into a metallic party gown fitted with sparkling gold and silver beading.

And to cap off the opulent affair, Kitty stepped out the next morning for an official wedding photo shoot in a pencil-style white dress embroidered with sequins, flowers and green ribbon detailing.

The bride reportedly chose not to wear the famous Spencer tiara worn by Princess Diana for her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981.

Kitty’s father, Diana’s brother Earl Spencer, was not there to walk her down the aisle, with her brothers Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp and Samuel Aitken assuming the honour.

Her royal cousins, Prince Harry and Prince William, were also not in attendance, despite Kitty attending their respective nuptials to Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.
