Queen’s epic Meghan Markle snub revealed in Netflix series

The Queen’s absolutely brutal snub of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has been revealed in the latest episodes of the couple’s Netflix series.

Meghan Markle shares how she felt coming into the royal family

Queen Elizabeth’s absolutely brutal snub of her grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after Megxit has been revealed.

The couple detailed the incident in the fifth episode of their Netflix series Harry & Meghan which dropped worldwide on Thursday night.

It happened shortly after the couple announced they were leaving the royal family, and was the first moment they truly appreciate the magnitude of what they had done.

“Before we left, I spoke to my grandmother and told her that I would love to come out and see you,” Harry said. “She knew that we were finding things hard, we had spoken many times about it.

“She told me that she had no plans for the week. And she said ‘well, why don’t you come out and have tea when you stay the night?’”

But as Harry and Meghan were boarding their plane from Vancouver to Heathrow, they got an “urgent urgent” message.

“This message comes through to H saying you were not allowed to go see Her Majesty,” Meghan recalled.

“You can not go and see her, she’s busy. She has plans all week.”

Harry was shocked.

“That was sent me opposite to what she told me,” he said. “Back in the UK I rang her and said she ‘Yes I didn’t know that I had plans, but I do. I’m busy all week.”

The couple couldn’t believe what they were hearing.

“I was like wow,” Meghan said. “And I remember looking at each other and thinking ‘Oh my gosh, this is when a family and a family business, are in direct competition.

“Because they’re blocking you from seeing the Queen. But really what they’re doing this blocking a grandson from seeing his grandmother.”

In episode four, the couple pinpointed the moment things turned for her in the royal family.

“I think Australia was a real turning point,” a friend said. “Because they were so popular, so popular with the public.

“And the palace, were incredibly threatened by that.”

Shortly afterwards, Harry recalled a night out with the entire royal family in attendance at Buckingham Palace, including the Queen.

But the next day, it was Meghan on the front page of the newspapers, not the monarch or Kate.

“That’s when the hammer dropped,” Harry said.

“I went ‘Oh my God!’” Meghan recalled, of seeing the front page.

“My mum felt the same way,” Harry said. “It was almost like from the wedding and everything I saw that they were building her up.

“And then there was a shift and they started to tear her down. I’m sorry. At the time, and we laughed about because it’s so ridiculous.

“But an attack can be preposterous, but it’s still an attack and that drip feed of constant attack on someone who is an individual or real person has an impact.”

In the opening seconds of episode four, she recounts how the family reacted to her joining it, a black, American actress, who she says never fit in.

“There was this moment were our private secretary said me, [this family] it’s like a fish swimming perfectly,” Meghan said.

“Then there’s this foreign organism. And they were like ‘What is that? What is it doing here? it doesn’t look like us, it doesn’t move like us, get it off of us’.

“And she just explained that you know, they’ll soon see that it’s stronger, faster, even better with this organism as part of it. It will be hard at the beginning for them to adjust to this new thing. But then it’ll be amazing.

“And I was really hopeful that that was true.”

Meghan also spoke about her first official outing with the Queen, but was delierately glowing about the recently-deceased monarch.

“My first official engagement with Her Majesty was very early on after we got married,” she said.

“We took the royal train together And we had breakfast that morning and I had a really great time with her.

“I treated her as my husband’s grandma. When we got into the car in between engagements, She had a blanket and she pulled it over my knees and we’re sitting there in the car with this blanket my thought, I recognise and respect and see that you are the queen. But in this moment, I’m so grateful that there’s a grandmother figure because that feels like family.

“It was a really good day.”
