Prince Christian is the heir to the throne, one day becoming the king of Denmark. He is the first grandson of Queen Margarethe II and the eldest son of Frederik.

Looking confident as he posed for the various images, the young prince has inherited his father’s blue eyes but shares many similarities to his mother.

Earlier this year, Prince Christian and his siblings Princess Isabella, 13, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, both nine, discussed life in lockdown for a TV broadcast.

“I miss seeing my friends and spending more time practising sports and being more active,” he said.

Prince Christian was meant to have his confirmation into the Church of Denmark this year; however, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the event to be postponed.

It is expected to take place at Chapel of Fredensborg Palace, where his father and grandmother were each confirmed.

Prince Christian was labelled ‘his Royal Highness’ since birth, however he also received the Count of Monpezat in 2008 after the Queen, his grandmother, granted him the title.
