Royal watchers say the Prince and the Duchess are looking for the right people to help turn them into a ‘global power couple’.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry have lost so many staff that they are looking for “his and hers” aides from the Foreign Office.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to be starting to hire a new team “from scratch” to help them establish themselves as a global power couple, The Sun reports.

The new parents, who welcomed baby son Archie just under a month ago, are looking to replace Meghan’s assistant private secretary Amy Pickerall and Harry’s private secretary Heather Wong with a joint private secretary.

They are understood to have invited diplomats to apply who have “senior leadership and management experience” as well as “confidence putting alternative ideas forward”.

A royal source said: “The Foreign Office as an organisation bears a lot of resemblance to the structure of the Royal Household, which is why staff are often selected from there.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be doing a lot of travel so an appointment from this administration makes sense.”

In April, it was revealed that Meghan and Harry may be moving to Africa to “harness the tremendous global attention” that the couple attract.

According to The Sunday Times, officials fear the Duchess could become “bigger than Diana”.

Last year, the couple embarked on an extensive royal tour to Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand, and earlier this year they visited Morocco.

They are also understood to have recruited a personal assistant, who has previously worked for a celebrity, to replace Meghan’s former PA, Melissa Touabti.

She quit her role in November after just six months in the job after being “reduced to tears by the Duchess of Sussex’s demands”.

It comes as it was revealed earlier this week that the couple are so desperate for privacy they’ve hired just one member of staff at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

A new documentary has claimed Meghan and Harry have only got one housekeeper helping them at the 10-bedroom property.

Last month, it was revealed that they haven’t employed a nanny or chef in their “scaled down” team.
