Meghan, Duchess of Sussex thanks fan for their “touching words” in very personal handwritten letter.

The Queen and Prince Harry set to have private talks on his UK return

Meghan Markle has faced judgment from all four corners of the globe.

People may argue that public scrutiny is part and parcel of marrying into the British royal family, but Meghan has dealt with a huge amount of criticism from both the press and public. She has previously talked openly about dealing with negative press commenting,

“I never thought that this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair.” Meghan’s experience with the British tabloids even led to her taking one publication to court and winning.

Since their move to California, the land of perpetual optimism, the couple appear to have taken some of the power back. They secured a tell-all interview with Oprah, and Prince Harry has opened up about royal life in various interviews. Others may argue, that when it comes to press, Meghan is her own worst enemy.

Despite all of this, the Duchess stays loyal to her fans and even rewards some with a rare handwritten note!

A Duchess of Sussex Instagram fan page has shared a personal note that Meghan recently sent a fan.

Meghan sent the sweet note in response to a letter that the fan had previously sent after watching the royal couple’s Oprah interview.

The heartfelt note showed off Meghan’s soft side as she thanked the fan for their “touching words” and even apologised for not responding earlier.

“I am so sorry for the delay in this response, but it took a while for your beautiful letter to find me. Thank you for your touching words. Your kindness has resonated so deeply with me and for that (and the lovely gifts for our little ones) I send you my great thanks.”

Meghan continued, “I wish you a life of joy, health, love and laughter. I wish you a future where you can accomplish all that you dream of. I trust that you will. Your good heart will guide you.”

She also gifted the fan a signed copy of her children’s book The Bench, which read, “To your very bright future!”

She picked up the hobby during handwriting classes at school and also use the skill as a side job to support her early acting career.

“I would sit there with a little white tube sock on my hand so no hand oils got on the card, trying to pay my bills while auditioning,” she told Esquire in 2013. “I’m glad that in the land of no one seeming to appreciate a handwritten note anymore that I can try to keep that alive.”
