Gwyneth Paltrow’s unexpected message to Kate

The Hollywood star’s personal note to the Princess of Wales has been revealed following her return to public duties.

Millions watched as Kate Middleton joined the royal family at Trooping the Colour on Saturday – and even Gwyneth Paltrow weighed in on her triumphant return.

The Iron Man actress commented on an official photo of the Princess of Wales on Instagram saying “So happy to see you looking so happy and well.”

Previously, Goop-creator Gwyneth appeared to be getting close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as they were spotted leaving a Michelin-star sushi restaurant in Montecito in May 2023.

Royal author Phil Dampier told The Sun: “Gwyneth Paltrow is the latest celebrity who seems to be taking sides in the Wales v Sussex standoff.

“Meghan is said to have based her new lifestyle project American Riviera Orchard on the actress’s own products and she admires her greatly so this will hurt.

“Gwyneth didn’t have to make any comment about Kate being at Trooping the Colour but the fact she has means she fully supports her, and like the rest of us, wants her to make a speedy recovery.”

Phil added: “It comes after other well known people like David Beckham, who was once friendly with Harry and Meghan, have very much pinned their colours to the royal mast.”

A number of A-listers are said to have now “dropped” the Sussexes in recent months, from the Beckhams to Oprah and Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.

The royal author continued: “They have realised that William and Kate are the true superstars and future of the monarchy, and a thousand year-old institution isn’t going to disappear any time soon.

“Yes, the royals have their ups and downs, but they survive by adapting and because the public respects the institution, although not always the individuals.

“In time I’m sure Harry and Meghan will realise that they made a big mistake attacking Harry’s family so much, which has alienated many who previously had time for them.”

Kate, 42, delighted fans as she appeared in a carriage with her three children and on Buckingham Palace balcony with her husband, Prince William, and the King and Queen.

It was the first public engagement for Kate – who is still having preventive cancer treatment – since she appeared with her family at Sandringham last Christmas.

Last week, Kensington Palace had confirmed that Kate had found comfort working from home despite her ongoing cancer struggle.

It is expected in coming weeks she will hold more meetings with palace staff and those from the Royal Foundation and Centre for Early Childhood.

These meetings will feature in the Court Circular which detail all official work by members of the royal family.

A spokesman for the princess said the palace would only give an update on face-to-face work meetings when appropriate.

And despite Kate announcing she hopes to “join a few public engagements over the summer”, the palace has yet to announce or confirm where she will appear next.
