One man shot, another stabbed at supermodel Miranda Kerr’s mansion: report

UPDATE: AN intruder has reportedly been shot in the head after stabbing a security guard in the eye at supermodel Miranda Kerr’s Malibu mansion.

ONE person has reportedly been shot and another stabbed during a “brutal confrontation” at Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr’s Malibu mansion.

According to TMZ, a security guard at the house confronted an intruder who jumped over a fence on Friday morning.

The men got into a fight and rolled on the ground, KTLA 5 reports.

The intruder stabbed the guard in the eye, and the guard then shot the intruder multiple times, according to TMZ. One bullet struck the intruder in the head.

Aerial footage of the home surrounded by emergency services was broadcast by KTLA 5.

Both the intruder and the security guard were flown to hospital and are expected to survive.

Kerr, who apparently lives at the house with her five-year-old son Flynn, was absent at the time of the incident.

She was last spotted in Malibu on Sunday leaving dinner at Soho House with a group of friends.

Deputies responded at about 11.13am local time to a call of a person with a gun in the area of Encinal Canyon Road and Puesta Del Sol, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

One patient was flown to a trauma centre after being shot in the head, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

According to the sheriff’s department, the intruder was shot at three or four times.

Two neighbours told ABC7 that Kerr lives at the residence.

“It’s kind of a crazy thing to happen out here in Malibu,” one resident told KTLA 5.

Seven News US Bureau Chief Mike Amor said it’s believed the intruder jumped an electric fence to get into the property.

Amor said neighbours reported hearing the intruder yelling on the Pacific Coast Highway that runs along the coastline of Malibu.

The neighbours said they believe the intruder is a homeless man.

Several sheriff’s vehicles were seen parked outside the home, as investigators placed evidence markers at the scene and spoke with possible witnesses, ABC 7 reports.

Kerr, 33, bought the property in 2014 following her divorce from Orlando Bloom.

She was photographed at the “1960s ranch home” for the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

“I knew that this house was it at first sight,” she told the magazine.

“It needed a lot of work, but it had a great view. It wasn’t right on the water, so it was protected and very private.”

She shared images from the photoshoot on Instagram.

The violent incident comes a week after reality star Kim Kardashian was robbed of her jewels at gunpoint at an exclusive apartment in Paris.
