Miranda Kerr reveals she lost her grandmother weeks after her grandfather

Miranda Kerr has revealed two significant family tragedies that she has endured only weeks apart.

Miranda Kerr has shared with her fans that she’s suffered heartbreaking tragedy within her family, losing her grandmother only weeks after she laid her grandfather to rest.

Taking to Instagram, the supermodel shared that her “darling Nan” passed away on February 27.

“You are the heart of our family, you’re the reason we’re all so close, you’re the reason we have faith, you’re the reason we are all cheeky,” Kerr wrote.

“You’ve put a twinkle in all our eyes, you’ve brought so much light and love into this world through everyone you have met.

“Everyone who has met you has been uplifted by your presence, you’re the reason I am who I am.”

Kerr, 37, revealed in the post that her Nan taught her everything from how to cook, dress and take care for herself, her husband and children.

“You’re our compass and you’ll continue to be that compass for me and our children for the rest of our lives,” she wrote.

“Thank you Nan for being all a girl could ever wish for in a Nan and so much more.”

The tragic news came weeks after the model shared that she laid her grandfather to rest. She asked her Nan to “give her Pa a big hug for me.”

In the touching post to her grandfather, Kerr shared a photo of him smelling a flower. She wrote that his “spirit will continue to live through our family and all those he loved”.

“He had defied the odds and lived longer than the doctors had expected,” she shared.

“And even though we all knew that his time on this earth was coming to an end, it didn’t make his passing any easier.”
