‘Unheard of’: Lively’s ‘desperate’ new move in bid to secure evidence against Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold’s latest move has been labelled “desperate” as they seek new damning evidence.

Blake Lively is “desperately” on the hunt for“receipts” and she’s going to extensive lengths to get them.

New reports have emerged that show Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, have subpoenaed phone records of Justin Baldoni and others involved in the courtroom showdown over an alleged plot to ruin the actress’ reputation.

Baldoni’s legal team claim couple is asking for “every single phone call, text and even location data” of the defendants mentioned in their lawsuit.

Such a request might include data related to those who are not actively involved in the suit if they’ve been in contact with someone who has been named.

“Ms. Lively has initiated discovery that will expose the people, tactics, and methods that have worked to ‘destroy’ and ‘bury’ her reputation and family over the past year,” Lively’s lawyers, Mike Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, slammed the move as a “fishing expedition.”

“Subpoenas are an ordinary part of the litigation process,” Freedman told Fox News Digital. “What is extraordinary is what the Lively parties are seeking. They are asking for every single call, text, data log, and even real-time location information for the past two and a half years, regardless of the sender, recipient, or subject matter.”

“This massive fishing expedition demonstrates that they are desperately seeking any factual basis for their probably false claims. They will find none,” he added.

It comes after the author of It Ends With Us made a surprise move that could be a telling sign that Blake Lively’s career could be doomed.

Upon the news of the latest request from Lively’s legal team, fans on reddit were left divided.

“This is unheard of,” remarked one, with another hitting back: “Why can’t they just settle this mess out of court and be done with it?”

“It looks like she’s desperate for a smoking gun,” suggested another.

Colleen Hoover previously spoke out in support of Lively throughout her battle with Justin Baldoni, and publicly took the former Gossip Girl star’s side.

However, Hoover returned to Instagram this week after a few months away from the social media platform has in the process wiped any trace of Blake from her profile – including pictures she had been tagged in that featured the star.

Hoover deleted her Instagram account in December, and with it a statement that described Lively as “honest, kind, supportive and patient”.

The post in question, or any others featuring even a passing reference to Blake, have now been removed.

Fans rushed to comment on Hoover’s move, with one remarking: “She’s realised there’s no winning and is trying to distance herself from it.”

“She would very much like to be excluded from this narrative,” said another.

A third commented: “I do think it’s noteworthy that Colleen scrubbed Blake from her social media because she was so openly supportive of her when the initial legal s**tshow started.”
